Golf in Fife is synonymous first and foremost with St Andrews and its historic links land. Even more recently St Andrews has made the headlines with the naming of the seventh course, The Castle Course, which sits above the town simply adding to the attraction - Old, New, Jubilee, Eden, Strathtyrum. Even the names sound magical. But for those who have been to Fife there is so much more than St Andrews, The Old Course and its prestigious partners; that's not to understate their importance nor their attractiveness but don't ignore everything else around them. As soon as you enter Fife from north, south or west you are met with a golfing gateway. Cross the River Tay from Dundee and you'll come across the wonderful layout at Scotscraig; from the south and the Forth Road Bridge you're a short pitch to picturesque Aberdour, from the west how about the two courses at Kinross for starters. Whatever level of golf and whatever your budget Fife does genuinely have it all. First in Fife Golf is a group of golf courses who have goit together to offer budget golf for three and five days on a selection of parkland courses in south and west Fife. The pass is easy to book online and offers exceptional value for money. Links With History brings together the delights of four of Fife's most historic and anceint clubs - Crail, Ladybank, Lundin Links and the aforementioned Scotscraig. Golfing developments in the past decade have brought new links masterpieces to complement the ancient links in St Andrews. Kingsbarns is perhaps the brightest jewel in the cluster of courses to the south of the town but that does not mean you should disregard either The Torrance or The Devlin at The Fairmont St Andrews (previously St Andrews Bay) nor the refurbished Dukes Course. So whether its Championship links courses, historic Open Qualifying Courses or excellent parkland challenges, The Kingdom of Fife remains the Home of Golf.
